Is Republicans gradiduated?

Nicholas Beaudrot of Electoral Math notes that, judging by some comments recently made in in the House, freshman Congressman Bill Sali (R-ID) remains blithely unaware that the State in Indiana in 1897 passed a law (unanimously no less) defining pi as 3.2. Sali radiates the bliss of ignorance, obviously knowing nothing of either economics, history, or science (since Congress could redefine gravity simply by, say, adopting a different official system of measurements). We know that the GOP isn't much interested in education, but this is an impressive display of putting its money where its mouth is.
